Cannot export model as Step file

I've just started a new job that uses Inventor 2021. As far as I know, it's up to date, though I can't be positive. I've created a basic model and need to export it as a Step file, but it simply isn't working. After selecting Step as the export option or specifying the extension in the export window, it creates a file that is only about 40kb and can't be opened by any other software. I need this to be in Step for our suppliers, so I need to resolve this issue. I feel as though I've tried all combinations of the export options. Has anyone run into this before?

Thank you. Unfortunately, it looks like this had already been done. I toggled it off and back on with no effect.

Well, you can try some things:

1. After enable the translators, stop/restart inventor.
2. You can try also to "Reset Inventor Utility".

You can share the part to test (could be a file problem).

What version does it report?

And as suggested by @CCarreiras attach an example file here that does not work (be sure to test it first to verify that it does not work if it is not the same file that you are posting about).

Maybe your file is a mesh or surface that won't translate into STP. Attach here a sample or take some screenshots of the model browser.
