Cannot Check-In File - Bolted Connection

Hi,

I'm having an issue checking in a file that used to contain a Bolted Connection.  I've now deleted the Bolted Connection but Inventor is still saying it cannot be added to the Vault, as 'Bolted Connection1' already exists in the Vault.  I've done an Assembly search too just to check there isn't a stray bolt hiding in the model but it comes up with no results.

How can I stop Inventor from thinking that the Bolted Connection is still in the drawing?

Thanks.

Hi! I have seen this behavior before. Likely, the assembly file or the drawing file is corrupted. It contains ghost reference. There isn't a good way to get rid of the corruption. Some workarounds to consider.

OptionA:

1) Open the assembly and activate LOD: All Components Suppressed. Then manually select all components you see in the browser or graphics window -> right-click -> uncheck "Suppress."

2) Save the assembly.

3) Go to the drawing -> edit the views and change the reference LOD to the new LOD.

4) Save the drawing. You should be able to check in the files.

OptionB:

1) Open the assembly. Save copy as a new name.

2) Demote all components to a new subassembly.

3) Open the new assembly. Make sure everything looks fine.

4) Open the drawing -> Manage -> Replace Model Reference -> select the new assembly.

Please note that some of the annotations may become sick. You will need to reattach them manually.

Many thanks!
