Cannot Balloon Items in a Pattern

We keep having this issue and I have to believe there is an easy fix. The initial parts of a pattern in the assembly can be ballooned, but none of parts the pattern generates can be. We really need to be able to balloon any part in the pattern.

I search through other post but none of the solutions work for us.

Please someone tell me there is a just setting I'm missing.

Thanks Mike

can you share a screenshot?

Are you manually doing it or Auto - Balloon?

Hello @meck what type of BOM Properties are you using?

Once one is placed it won't ask again, so you might have to delete the BOM and reinsert.

You might need to Enable the BOM View.

Hi Mike,

If I understood the issue correctly, it might not be as trivial as you thought. Does it happen on a cut view (section or detail)? This may have something to do with how Inventor determines if a part is within certain boundary. If possible, please share the files here so we can understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!
