Can Inventor create class A surfaces?

Hi,

One of principles of class A surfaces is to have G2 or G3 continuity. Can Inventor meet this requirement?

Can Inventor create free-form surfaces like Alias?

Hi!

Only G2 and true tangent surfaces.

Hi! Indeed, the surfaces created in Inventor are up to G2 continuous. There is no constraint or command to enforce G3 continuity. You can create G3 surface in Alias and then link to Inventor.

Many thanks!
