Can I Sort ipt's by Sheet Thickness?
Is there any way I can take all of my ipt's and get a list of all of my
sheetmetal parts, sorted by thickness? I find it more and more necessary to do so I can fill in
sheet nests.  Can I add somehow SM thickness to BOM? Any Ideas would be great.

Are you wanting to sort them in the parts list, BOM of the assembly, or in the model browser? If you sort by BOM in the assembly first, when you place a parts in a drawing it will automatically be sorted. Are you wanting the decimal "Thickness" parameter in the parts list, or are you wanting the GA description such as 10, 12, 14 GA? Do you want it in its own column, or just in the description of the material?

If you export the Thickness parameter of your sheet metal components as a number then it can be used in a BOM / Partslist for all sorts of things including sorting. Have a look at the video link below.

The best advice would be to change your sheet metal template so that the export of the thickness parameter is done for all new parts. For legacy files, you could create a bit of iLogic code that could set that for you.
