Can' change NVIDIA settings in control panel for Inventor 2019 with Quadro P2000

I am not able to change the graphic properties for the software in the Nvidia control panel. I feel like the display quality isn't really optimal for the type of card I am using. I would like to reduce aliasing for starters..

Thanks,

IMO if you need to change settings in the Nvidia control panel something isn't right..

You shouldn't need to do that..

Can you show a screenshot of Inventor to show an anti-aliasing problem?

What setting do you have for tools..application options..hardware tab? (quality checked and software graphics unchecked?)

What setting do you have for tools..application options..Display..Display Quality drop down? (Smoother?)

IMO I should be able to control NVDIA settings for the Software as I've seen many video of people showing to change these settings to improve aliasing. Why in my case I cannot do this. I alse am able to change these settings for every other CAD software. (Solidworks, CATIA)

Yes of course the settings you are talking about are maxed out. They do not offer much control (Low, medium, best..great)

See below a screenshot of the display on my screen. See the rounded corners how they are aliased and not smooth.

I am using Lenovo P52 with Quadro 2000 I would've hoped for better graphic with this setup.

Show us screen shot of nVidia CP.

I'm using GTX1070 so setting is different.

So it appears like Inventor is using the GPU but i can't change the settings.

Interesting.

You can still override them in global setting since most of them are using Global.

First, make sure Inventor is using the P2000 GPU.

Going to TaskManager and moving the part around I see GPU1 going to 50%. GPU1 being my QuadroP2000. So this is good, I have no problem with how fluid it is. It works very well. Just want better visualization.

Also when using RayTracing and Renders, Inventor won't use the GPU to compute the render. Everything is done with the CPU. Do I have configuration problems, or thats just how the software works..Would be sad to not use GPU for this..

I will try to force the global settings but this Is still causing me to lose a very usefull features to have a global settings not using the GPU if Im on battery for example..Now i have to remember to switch between profile..meh

Thanks,

I doubt global setting will affect battery much.

Not many programs will be using the GPU on 3D.

Most programs are only 2D, so all the AA, 4x won't apply.

Also those should be using the other GPU.

Just a real heads up the GPU does very little in IV due to the architecture of the program. Most of the 3D work is cpu rendered. The GPU does a few tasks but not many, the VRAM is the most necessary thing as it gets filled with textures. I would look within Inventor itself for aliasing options.

What I thought for the software not using the GPU efficiently.. Recommending Quadro hardware is a real gimmick then...

Still I've seen plenty of video/tutorial showing to use Nvidia control Panel to change some of the properties.  Probably doable with GTX cards...but still Using Quaddro does not seem to offer any BIG advantages for the 1000$  more it cost.

I am kinda disappointed. 😞 , However the software still allows me to do what I want for cheaper than others

Do bare in mind that you shouldn't buy a quadro for performance, a quadro is a quadro because of the reliability and a validation it has. A gp104 will behave like any other gp104 on the market quadro or Geforce. Buying a quadro is like buying a NIST sample, you arent buying the sample in truth you are buying the certificate and validation that comes with it. A quadro is just a very stable enterprise grade geforce card and you will pay for it.
