Bug of symetrical feature in part mode

The direct selection of the symetrical plan to use doesn't work if the plan has been renammed.

 

See the picture below.

Hi

I have 2 suggestions for you:

  1. Do not change the name of the plane
  2. Report an error on Idea Station

I don't have that issue ( i rename after and before and no issue). Inv 23.2

 

Have you installed all the updates for your version?

Yes I've all the updates done.
I think it's just an oversight in Inventor.

IV check the name for "YZ", "XZ", "XY".

IV don't see them if it's not in the name.

Hi Laurent,

 

This is a bug. It should just work. Though they have been renamed, Inventor should be able to find them internally. The browser name was purely cosmetic. The internal name should still be recognizable. I will work with the project team to understand the behavior better.
