1) For simple arrow it works as expected. Arrow is crossing the extension line so extension line is hidden in that part. This is correct.

2) If I use dot, for example in chained dimensions, the dot is smaller and doesnt cross the extension line. But there is still gap in the extension line.  This is bug.

3) Even if I use no terminator at all, there is still gap. This is obvious bug...

4) This is how it then looks if I want to make chained dimensions... Looks bad. There shouldnt be any gap in the extension line.

Looks like Inventor is calculating the area of the symbol/terminator every time as if it were arrow even if there is dot or nothing at all. It should take in account the real symbol used.

Thanks.

Hi! I believe this is related to dimension line or general annotation clipping behavior. The clipping was supposed to avoid any overlap and confusion. It seems to have hard-coded clip zone, which cannot be controlled by the users.

Many thanks!

Hi, I agree. I hope Inventor team will change the clip zone behavior so it respects the terminator symbol selected. Thanks.

It never pays to call something a "bug". It infers that the programmers are short-sighted here and you know better than them. Maybe you're wrong here; maybe not. It's better to just present the issue than place a label on it.
