Hi all,
I have to create a bridge model for my final year project.
Currently, I am modelling half of the bridge as it is a symmetrical bridge. So far I have been able to add the spans, piers and parts of the arches.
However I am having a problem making the arches look more 'realistic'
This is how I need it to look:
This is what I am working with currently on Inventor 2018
I cant seem to get the top of the arches to extrude in a way that it fills up to the deck/piers so it actually looks like the bridge
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

@Anonymous Please post your ipt file..
Images are helpful but not nearly as much as having your actual Inventor files to examine..
But in general if you want it to extend up all the way then your sketch should have been that profile instead of the narrow strip..
Post your file and we can easily modify the sketch if you can't figure it out..

@mcgyvr Hi, many thanks for your reply
See attached for the ipt file for more details
Would be great if you could resolve this issue as I am very new to this software and do not have much time to master it.
Thanks

@mcgyvr Hi,
Yes that what I was after - Is it possible to complete the rest of them?
Sure.. Go right ahead..
Right click on extrusion 7 and edit the sketch and see what I did and then you should understand it..
Its all about sketching the profile that you want.. If you wanted a wide/fully closed arch why did you draw a thin/open one..

@TheCADWhisperer Supervisor assigned to this project is not really providing any guidance regarding software - Have to learn software on our own unfortunately
Project is about bridge analysis and me and some other students have had to basically learn a bunch of different software on our own
