Braided Hydraulic hose

Im trying to make a braided Hydraulic Hose in Inventor 2023(one month trial).

But it does not work for me at all.

The guides I have found so far are 10+ years old, and does not bring me further.

Can anyone here please guide me to making the material to the braided hose. I found a nice weave texture (On a keyshot forum), and I can assign this to a material In the “Relief Pattern”, but no effect at all. I have tried the same with plastic materials, but no luck so far.

Any Clues?

Press the "Creates a new material in the document" button in the bottom left of the Appearance browser and select "New Generic Appearance".. Then simply apply your image in the image section... You can click on the image to open the texture editor to change the scale of the image if needed..

Hi
This worked as a charm. When copying an existing material nothing worked. Now ewerything seems to be working fine. Now I just have to fiddle with it in order to look realistic.
Thanx a lot

I don't have a copy of it anymore, but at my previous company we took a photo of an actual piece of the hose to do this.  Worked really nicely.
