BOM or Parts List Modify Quantity

I am trying to modify a parts list to change the quantity of some parts as I have created a part as a derived assembly and these are not included in an overall parts list that is used as a cut list.

i.e. I have assembly A04.  I then created a part A04-MIR as a mirror of the original assembly.  Part P401 shows a quantity of 1 in the oveall parts list, but it is in A04 and A04-MIR so I need to modify to a quantity of 2.

Hi!

Tips:

• In BOM, change the Part Number A04-MIR to AO4.
• If the part is equal ( and not geometrical mirrored), select reuse instead of mirrored, this way you have a repetition of the part and not a new mirrored part, which is equal to the source.

Inventor probably thinks your mirrored part is a different one. Make sure your don't get duplicate rows in your BOM.

You can do the edit itself manually: Double-click or Right-click->Edit Parts List the BOM in your drawing (IDW) and edit the quantity value by typing it.
