I'm curious if there is a way to to have the re-numbering feature in the BOM show in increments of 0.1 opposed to strictly whole numbers. Screenshot attached for reference.

No I don't believe you can do this.

Autodesk should note this as a feature request.

The Inventor team will only note feature requests that are posted in the Ideas forum.

Hi!

I believe is not possible, because the item number with a separator (. , ; - etc), is reserved for these situations in the image:

If this is what you mean to do, you have to go to the 3D model BOM and set to ALL LEVELS and select a delimiter:

Are you having difficulty renumbering within a sub-assembly?

Thanks @CCarreiras,

@dan_inv09 is correct regarding sub-assemblies.

We use multi-sheet drawings. Would probably not be an issue for single sheet drawings, however that is not ideal for our setup.

Am aware of numbering boms, it is 'demoting' the top level assembly item #'s, to the sub assembly/s to keep a consistent item number.

Currently manually copy the top-level assembly item numbers, into the sub assemblies.

So, I use the 'keyword' column as a placeholder. Copy top level item numbers to keyword. Open sub-assembly, copy the 'keyword' item numbers, back into the sub-assembly 'item number' column. Bit convoluted but works for our workshop.
