BOM is adding parts incorrectly

I have a model where the the parts list applies a filter for some screws.  The problem is the visible screw count in the model is 22.  However the parts list shows 54.  When I look at the bom I get Model Data- 22, Structured -54, and parts list only-88.  Can anyone explain what's happening?  I look at the view rep, I've only got 22 items showing.  Where could the other 32 be coming from and how can I get my parts list to show the correct number w/o having to override the number (thus defeating the purpose of having the parts list do the tally)?

The only time I've seen something like this is where the insert process duplicated some bolts.  I was using a supplier model where some holes weren't circles, they were two independent arcs.  So for some holes, when I clicked on those holes to insert bolts from the content center, in some places I got two bolts in each hole.  May want to scroll through your model and see if you might have some duplicates stacked on top of each other.  Hope this helps, because it's an easy fix.  Good luck.

Has the "Limit QTY to visible components only" check box become unticked in the Parts List filter?

(You can double-click the View Rep name in the filter dialogue box to edit the QTY override.)

Hi! Peter is right. In general, the Design View Rep and LOD (not Model States) do not influence quantity. The only way to filter out invisible instances is to enable Design View QTY Filter. Edit the PartsList and click on Filter button -> select Design View Rep.

Many thanks!
