Bolted Connection causes useless mass update and places fasteners at assembly origin.

I have a clamp assembly that my workplace purchases for fixturing and would like to use the bolted connection feature to bolt it to the block it is to sit on. The clamp has slots instead of holes meaning that I needed to create workpoints at the center of the slots on the underside of the base (the top would make the design accelerator try to make a hole in the clamp base, which I do not want).

This allows me to select the points and make a blind hole into the block, then select my fastener. The preview shows the fastener and holes in the correct locations, however this is not what is built. Instead, the clamp indicates that it should be updated (nothing has changed in the clamp, nor do I want anything to) and a single fastener is placed at the assembly origin.

I can delete the fasteners while keeping the holes and add the fasteners back in using the holes (the clamp asks to be updated again, again with no change to it) but at that point it would be better to just create an adaptive sketch and manually make the holes. The clamp update just makes me click more when I'm saving/loading my files with it in, but it is annoying and has no reason to happen.

Anyone know why these things are happening and how I can prevent it?

Can you supply a small sample file set to display the workflow your trying to use? Pack and go the assembly and attach. Some images can help too but they are not as useful as a sample assembly. What version of the software are you using?

Hi! If possible, please share the files here. Forum experts can help take a look to understand this Bolted Connection issue.

Many thanks!
