batch title block update

The company I work for needs to update the title blocks on thousands of inventor drawings (.idw). As far as I know, the Drawing Resource Transfer Wizard does not allow you to select all drawings in a root folder. Since each part has its own folder, this would mean running the wizard around 20 0000 times. Is there anyway to get around this or automate this?

Why did you make each part have its own folder? Just curiosity..

Would this technique work if all files are in Vault? I am guessing I would have to check out all the files, run the wizard, and check them back in again.


I think the parts are in separate folders as an organizational thing. Each drawing has other files associated with it and having them in separate directories made searching easier. I'm not exactly sure though (I'm in IT and this was an Engineering thing).

I don't use vault but would assume that yes you would need to check them all out.. run the wizard then check them back in..

Just try a few files and see how it works.. If it does then do all the rest.. If not post back with your problems and someone can help...
