BASE OF THE FRAME-EXTRUSION NOT WORKING

I need help creating a base plate above the frame using the extrusion command. Despite several attempts, it's not working. Could someone assist me with a solution?

Attach your project (pack all files first) if you can and describe what you want to achieve.

I will add - in the assembly environment, it is not possible to add material. The Extrude command (and others) is only for removing material - for example, creating holes and cutouts that must be made at the assembly stage and cannot be made at the manufacturing stage of the part.

As @kacper.suchomski wrote, the modeling features in an assembly are only for material removal.  To create a new part you need to... create a new part.  Use the Create Component tool to start a new part in the context of your assembly.

Hi! I think Sam is right. The OP is trying to build body geometry at assembly level. Inventor's modeling approach is relatively strict. The body geometry is mostly within individual parts. At the assembly level, only cut features (machining) are allowed, except weld beads.
