Dear Inventor users,
I have build a assembly drawing.
Is there a way to match the QTY number and the number of parts I balooned?
Like the display of the part list with the 'balooned items only' option.
The reason is that the technicans can see how many parts (in this case cilinders) they need for that building step.
The QTY is now 4, consisting of;
- 2 cilinders balooned
- 1 cilinder, not balooned
- 1 cilinder, suppressed.
I want to display only the 2 cilinders.
Translation of the parts list (see picture):
Pos = Position
Aantal = QTY
Omschrijving = discription
Materiaal = material
Many thanks in advance!
Stefan

I don't know about a ballooning view that you want but have you thought of using an .ipn? You can make an animation of your assembly going together and dictate which parts go on when. Then you can take snapshots of the assembly at different stages and put them into your drawings and balloon those out.
Like I said, not sure there is a way to do what you want but this could be a work around.
Thank you blandb!
This is a start.
In the first time it doesn't work. The solution was to make a View Rep of the Level of Detail (copy LoT to View Rep) and select that view rep in the filter settings.
However, the filter settings does not update the QTY. So you need to do that manually. Like the post;
If there was a solution to update the QTY (Parts List) automatically, it would me great!
Important side information; working with Lot, View Rep and the filter Limit QTY; make sure the parts are suppressed AND non visible. Otherwise, the parts are still showed in the QTY, even when they are supressed.
