Is there a way to prevent spring elongation when the referenced distance exceeds a certain value?
I don't want the spring to become unnaturally long when the batteries are pulled out from their compartment.

You will find the assy attached.
The key is just use this type of function (min/max):
min(yourparameter;60 mm)
Where the funcion choose the lower value between yourparameter and 60 mm (in this case)
