I’m sure that I’ve asked this before.
Line weights!
By standard all visible parts/models on the drawing are shown on layer ‘LINE MAIN’ this currently is set to 0.5mm
We also have a layer ‘LINE THIN’ this currently is set to 0.18mm.
‘LINE MAIN’ is great for the outline of the model/assembly but for fine detail areas get very blotchy.
I know that you can manually change the busy area to layer ‘line thin’ but it there no way of doing it automatically?
For example if a line is 0.5mm or closer to another line it will make one thick line.
Can we not have a rule that say if two parallel lines are closer than 1mm at the current scale change the layer hence reducing the line weight? Also all lines at the current scale smaller than 1mm change the layer to a thinner layer.
or an easier way of changing the line from one layer to another (matchprop)?
