Automatic Sheet Numbering

Is there a VBA routine available that will automatically display (update) the sheet number and total number of sheets in a set on each drawing sheet in the set?

i.e.  SHEET "#" OF "#".  If so, how would I incorporate it into the sheet format?

Hi RRomer,

This can be done automatically without any VBA. You would edit your title block and use Inventor's built in Sheet Properties > Sheet Number and Drawing Properties > Number of Sheets as shown:

You should be able to do it with Iproperties.. with Drawing properties, where it'll update automatically for you...

Thanks Curtis, I've been told by our CAD Dept. it would take a lot of research and we don't have the resources for that at this time.  I knew it was possible since I had seen it in use at a previous company and SolidWorks has been doing it for years.  Anyway I did some checking on my own and found exactly what you've presented here.  It works well and does exactly what I need.  Now if I can get them to incorporate it into our default formats all will be A LITTLE MORE RIGHT WITH THE WORLD.

an update to a titleblock would be about 5 minutes to add this ...

it's already there ...
