Good day all,
Using the latest update of Inventor 2023 I noticed that converting STP-files to .IPT located in in a single folder are being saved in a new folder with the specifik name of the part. For me this is very inconvenient.
Is there an option to prevent this?
For instance: Converting 10 STP files creates 10 separate folders in the root folder containing the IPT file.
Please find the attached screenshot to see the result.
Many thanks for helping me out.
Best regards,
Stefan

I don't have 2023 loaded on this machine, but I remember in 2022 you could define the folder location during import.
Here's what the Import dialog looks like on 2023.2:
I think selecting Source Path and deselecting Save in Subfolder will get what you want.

Hi! On the import dialog, uncheck "Save in Subfolder" option at the bottom. It should persist on a last-used basis.
Many thanks!
Many thanks everyone,
I overlooked the "save in subfolder" option.
this is probably turned on after the last update, I never use this option.
All is fixed!
Best regards,
Stefan
