Not looking to rattle anyone's cage here but I gotta wonder if those who complain about Inventor's ribbon menu also reach out to MicroSoft and complain in the same manner?
I mean, chances are you are all using MS Office as well and Adesk simply mimicked the same ribbon menu style.
Are you still demanding MS go back to Win NT?
At least Adesk warned everyone for a solid 3 releases that the Ribbon menu was going to be the way of things and to get on board before the old menu wasn't accessible anymore. 3 yrs notice. I don't recall MS giving anyone that type of "heads up". We all had 3 yrs to learn and get used to the ribbon menus and now they are 100% customizable to boot.
A lot of other CAD apps adopted the ribbon menu now as well. I guess we should all just go back to the actual drafting board and shun technological advancements from now on.
Is Inventor perfect? Of course not, show me a CAD application that is. I know it's been stated to go back to 2010, but 2010 wasn't a perfect release either. It too had its issues. Why are those issues more acceptable? They're not, they are simply different issues. I just see some people who think they can do a better job than the developers of the current code. Well, if that's the case, I have to ask you, when YOUR version of CAD getting released, I'd love to see it. Think you can do better? Then send your resume to Adesk and get hired on to fix the code so it's perfect....again, I'd love to see it.
OK, that's my rant for the day. Let's move on.
