Autodesk Inventor 2018 Freezes constantly

Hello. I am having trouble with Autodesk Inventor 2018. It freezes constantly, leaving me with "Application not responding". This happens when I first open it, when I'm editing a part, or if I'm in an assembly (which always contain <50 parts).

These are my PC's specs:

Only other thing to note is that I have my graphics set to "performance". All updates have been installed as well.

Thanks.

Hi! A few things to check. 1) Please install 2018.3 update followed by 2018.3.4 update. 2) Make sure .Net 4.6 or later is installed. 3) Make sure all critical Windows updates are installed. 4) Install the latest graphics driver. 5) If you have an embedded graphics card, make sure Inventor runs on the dedicated graphics card, not the embedded one.

Many thanks!

Thanks. How do I make it run the integrated GPU instead of the dedicated one?

Hi! I think you want the other way around, running on Nvidia, instead of the embedded one. You can go to Nvidia.com to download Nvidia Desktop Control (or something like that). Then you can assign which application to run on Nvidia card.

Many thanks!

I used the control panel and turned off NVIDIA for a few options. It seems to do the trick, although there are some options I can't turn off. It seems to do the trick. I guess I'll mark this as solved.
