Autodesk Inventor 2018.3 with all updates fails to open 2019 .ipt

I have yesterday installed the newest version of Inventor Professional 2018 and the desktop app tells me that I have all the updates. Even though the program fails to open 2019 .ipt saying that the version I want to open is too new, it cannot be opened and I should update my version - which is not possible

Are you 100% sure it was installed?  Go to Inventor/Help/About and share a screen shot of you help/about screen.

I just tested it on mine with 2018.3.2 and it worked fine:

That's the original release of Inventor..  The 2018.3 update was never applied..  Smiley LOL

Oups my fault , I just installed it yesterday from the official homepage and the Autodesk App doesnt show me any updates. So where can I find the updates and do I have to install 2018.2 before 2018.3 ?

Stop using the desktop app..  Its bloatware and causes more headaches than helps..

 

Go into your Autodesk Account and download the update for Inventor 2018.3 and then 2018.3.2
