I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to take lines from a 3D model in autocad 2014 and use that line to make a part in Inventor 2014. If anyone could help it would be greatly appriciated. Please list all steps in depth if possibe. Thankyou!

You didn't follow the Wizard correctly - you are in a drawing, not a part file.
Make sure to use these settings.
Depending on what you have in your source - you might want to Project wires to 2D sketch rather than 3D sketch.
But make sure the geometry is going in to a New Part rather than Drawing.
