Auger flights flat pattern

Hi all,

Need to make flat patterns for each flight. 8 flights total.

I have tryed doing them one by one but Inventor is telling me that "no bends found, nothint to compute" when i try the create flat pattern option. Also. I am not able to select any face when trying to define A-side.

Any ideas?

I was creating something similar and was able to use a surface loft between 2 3D sketches followed by a thicken of the surface. It did create a flat pattern accurate enough for us to laser and use. This technique might be in the link posted, I saw 3D sketches were mentioned there.
