Assistance Needed: driving Ipart selection based on a parameter in an excel file

Hey All,

I am currently working on an assembly that will utilize an ipart that contains 6 variations. rather than change the variation manually, i would like to have the selection driven by a parameter that is imported from a linked excel file. is there any way to accomplish this?

Thanks,

Justin

Yes you can. This can be done with an iLogic rule. If you look at your iLogic window, you see that there is whole section of rules for iParts. One of them is to change the row. Basically you will have a parameter that is linked to an excel file. Your iLogic rule looks at parameter and based on that parameter it changes the iPart row to what you need.
