Assign Materials - any way to get the categories in the drop down vs all the materials?

Is there any way to get the categories to show up in the drop down vs every material?

I know you can do it thru the Material browser, but just looking to save a couple of clicks.

I don't think so. But it would be a nice idea/enhancement for the devs.

For now, I think the best you can do is add a prefix to all materials to denote their category and thus list them in order by groups of prefixes.

Well maybe setup different "Library" so you pick different one at the bottom of the drop down.

I've struggled with this for years and just dealt with it.

IMHO.....Looks like a JDI initiative
