How are they identical/same part ....      If they are different sizes ....

I would make different parts  ... you can use direct edit ...

or you can use Derive

Thanks

example: if i have a .ipt Wheel rim that is 250mm in diameter. I will put this part 10 times in an assembly file. I will leave 5 Wheel Rim ,ipt at 250mm and then the next 5 Wheel rims i will just scale either larger or smaller in theassembly....it is a one-off and i was hoping not to remodel for each size....sort of give an illusion that there are different sizes

Maybe it is not possible and i will need to remodel for each size

Hi,

When i am reading what you want to do I think that making an iPart is an oppertunity for you. The time it will take to make such a iPart actually depends on the complexity of your design.

If it's exactly the same other than the scale is larger/smaller or a Mirror use the "Derive" function. Start a new part, don't start any sketch, use the Derive which will ask for a source file. Select the IPT use wish to use as your reference, then select the scale increase/decrease or Mirror option (great for making an opposite side such as a LH version from a RH version).

This will then produce the derived version, any changes made to the base file will the included in the Derived model until you break the link.
