Assembly cross-section

When trying to view in cross-section I get the section view but it creates a gray-textured plane that blocks the view. Please see attached jpg.

Did not see anything similar here.

This does not happen usually- only on this assembly, as far as I see.

Hi! This is a known issue. The behavior started in 2017. It has been resolved in the coming 2017.4. If you are a subscriber, please install it when available. Let me know if it works for you.

Hmmm...
After installing 2018 and getting the same results I saved as step file, reloaded and section went ok.
Only problem, for this purpose, which is producing pictures for patent application, is losing the constraints. Any option to save them?

Hi! I could be wrong but the issue you are encountering does not sound like the known section view problem. Could you send me the example (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com)?
