Hi,

when i have an assembly that i wish to 3D print, in the 3D print environment i dont see any of the ribbon options that i see with the regular IPT files.

Did i do something wrong or is that normal?
How can i change the orientation of the object like this?
I wasnt able to find anything online that showed the same simplified window that i have

my version is 2022

Hi, it's look like 3D-Print panel not available for assembly.
More than, it become unavaible for Part, while you don't close it in assembly

Hi! This is indeed the way it works. The dedicated 3D Printing environment is only available in a part, not in an assembly. If you use 3D Printing workflows frequently, I suggest you look into Fusion 360. It offers more flexible modeling environments including the Mesh Design, the Form Design, and the Generative Design, which are very helpful to 3D Printing.

Many thanks!
