Assemblies in Assemblies not load to the next higher Assembly

In Plant 3D Xrefs are used to put an assembly or part in an assembly. You can tell Plant 3D via Xrefs not to load a particular part or assembly into the next higher assembly.

Can this be done in Inventor?

Hi!

You mean visibility on/off of some parts/assemblies?!

Different programs, different approaches... What do you really want to do?

Hi Colin,

Yes, Carlos is right. When a component's visibility is turned off or the component is suppressed (Model State), it will not be loaded on open.

Many thanks!

I want to load a structure A in as a reference to an assembly 1. Then load that assembly 1  into assembly 2, without the structure A being in assembly 2.

Hi Colin,

The Structure A will be there. But you may turn off its visibility.

Many thanks!
