Hello everyone,
I'm kinda new here, but I have some experience in modelling using frame generator before.
Description first: My job is to create Condensing units. These Condensing units consist of refrigeration devices linking together via copper pipes and all are placed on a frame made of steel profiles (U, V, I, ...). A sample of a Condensing unit is shown here for better understanding.
If a frame design has been conducted and given to me with desired dimensions, it is very simple, and there's nothing to be talked about.
But If I only have 3D models of the devices, and I have to design a Frame to put them altogether, it may become kinda difficult. Currently, in my workflow, I have to intuitively create a 3D sketch of the frame, generate frame members based on that frame, put refrigeration devices on it, then adjust the 3D sketch dimensions and frame members multiple times to make it gradually reasonable. This procedure takes much time and efforts.
I want to ask, is there a proper workflow for this kind of design. Like, can I put all of the devices together in an assembly, arrange them in a 3D space, then create and adjust frame lively in that environment until I'm satisfied?
Thank you so much
