Appearance

I made one part aluminum with aluminum appearance. I insert in assembly one part and part changed color and material into stainless steel.!@#$%^. On left is stainless steel and on right side is aluminum. Same part and only one that kind part. Very annoying lose time and effort to make correct each part each time. Problem with appearance with different errors are persist for years.

This version is  Inventor 2021, and that is not only one problem.

Autodesk specialists, please get into this problem and fix.

Does Inventor actually say that the appearance is Stainless Steel in the assembly?  Or does it just look that way to you?

I've never experienced anything like this, so attaching an assembly that exhibits this behavior will help everyone figure out what's happening.  It's not too likely to be a defect in the application; I don't recall anyone ever reporting this on the Inventor Forum before.  But you never know...

Hi! Two things to try. 1) Open the part and make sure the appearance is assigned as you anticipated. Go to View -> Lighting Style -> make sure the one used in the part is the same as the assembly.

2) Go to View -> change Visual Style to Ray Tracing. Do they look better?
