Another Punch/ifeature /sweep question

So after reading and searching countless threads, I am at a loss. I followed a lot of what JDMather has replied to and tried to model this as close to what he has talked about/ taught. Keeping everything under a parent sketch. I am assuming I have some sort of constraint issue as every time i try to us the Punch I create it will not model the sweep and gives me this error even after the preview looks pretty good. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You are missing 5 dimensions from your sweep profile sketch and using a different thickness causes the sweep to fail..

It works just fine if the punch is created and the new part is 3.032mm but change it to 5 or whatever and "boom" self intersecting error on the sweep..

 

Rule #1 of Inventor.. NEVER leave a sketch without it being "Fully Constrained"

This may have been the root problem, but I found a workaround just by setting limits on what the thickness could be in the Extract iFeature. The material I will be working with will only be between 1mm and 4mm so it works out alright. It has been one heck of a learning process, that's for sure.
