angular dimensions, aren't displaying the correct measurements

I suspect the answer is "dimensioning to lines not on the same plane. 

This is the first for me. In the image I provided you can see the front view, a section view and a projected right side view. I believe the front view is correct being a front on face view. The view was rotated to the mating edge of these two parts is horizontal. I created a right side view and was unable to get the dim to show proper. I then tried a section view and was able to dim as expected. Why does my dim in the right side view show as it does? how can I fix this?

Can you attach the model and drawing files?

Hi! I would right-click on the base view -> General Dimension Type -> select Projected. I guess it was set to True.
