All my parts are now solid bodies

This is really weird. Not sure ifs the the 2018 software I just installed but somehow all my parts in my assembly have turned into solid bodies.

There is no browser history in any of the part files. I also lost all my constraints.

I did look at the old version folder and the browser history exists.

I have no idea what I did to make this happen. Any one have any idea?

Thnak

Can you show a screen shot of your browser (so we can see what you're seeing)

Here is the part file browser screen shot.

The assembly looks looks normal, but each part file I open lloks like this part. Just a solid body.

I think I will need to restore the old versions since the browser history is intact

If you have an activate maintenance plan or subscription I would suggest that you install 2018.2 mid year release and its 2018.2.3 update.  Your Inventor 2018 version/build is a little outdated.

I don't think this is the issue, but you should install latest Updates.

Are you using Projects or are you using Vault?

Can you zip and attach folder of assembly that exhibits this behavior

and

zip and attach Oldversions version of the assembly for comparison.

I will install the updates and I don't think it is the issue either.

An the mean time I restored all the old versions and have my parts back with editable browser history.

Just need to re-constrain everything.

What is the latest update?

Can someone post a link please

Your updates have to come from your Autodesk Account, we can't provide you with that link.

Hi! I have not seen a behavior like this. Are these files created using Future CAD workflow? Could you attach one example file here?

Many thanks!

The one thing I remember from late yesterday before I left was I noticed a tab in my UI in the assembly drawing.

It was "Configure 360" I got curious as to what it was so I saved the assembly by another name and tried to upload it.

I ended up aborting that since I really have no use for it.

Came in this morning and that's when I noticed  the odd behavior.

Other than that I nothing out of the normal.

I got everything back in order now using the  old versions so It looks like im in good shape now.
