aligning cylinders at an angle in assembly

I am fumbling around with this desk leg assembly. Specifically the lining up the leg to the support. I cant figure out the contraint/plane to use and overall have a feeling i am going about it all wrong. any suggestions would be of great help!

You need to attach the .ipt files with your .iam.

From a quick look, don't create the workplanes in your assembly for this.
Another option, create it all in one part and then turn that into an assembly, pattern the legs.

Hi! I suggest you insert an UCS and then constrain the cylinder to the UCS. It will help you position it more easily when there is lack of reference geometry.

Many thanks!
