Hi!

I need your help in order to understand the thread issue

Is my logic correct

If I use 26M fastener I need 26M hole

Right?

If you use a M3 fastener you need a M3 tapped hole

If you use a M4 fastener you need a M4 tapped hole

If you use a M5 fastener you need a M5 tapped hole

If you use a M6 fastener you need a M6 tapped hole

If you use a M7 fastener you need a M7 tapped hole

If you use a M8 fastener you need a M8 tapped hole

etc...

Whatever fastener you use then you need the same for the tapped hole..

If you use a M3 screw it wouldn't make any sense to put a M5 threaded hole..
