adding new revision style table into other drawings

ladies and gents

I created a new revision style table along with customized note and label text

and was wondering how to import them into a existing drawing.

I know that with title blocks you can copy and paste into a drawing which is a time saver

was wondering if I could do the same with a new revision style table?

I see we can export styles but when I go to other drawing I don't see where to import.

I don't want to redo for every drawing

Hi! There is a standalone tool called, Drawing Resource Transfer Wizard in All Programs -> Autodesk Inventor xxxx. You can push drawing resources from one file to several selected drawings.

Many thanks!

it worked with the title block but not with the new label and note text and the revision table

I gather I have to update the style library.

when you update the library does that library exist in a already

created drawing or do I have to change each one?

Hi! Once you have updated the Styles Library, there is indeed a way to push the updated Library styles to individual drawings. Go to \SDK\ folder and install user tools. You will see a tool called Batch Update Styles in Drawing. It can help you push the styles from the Library to each document.

Many thanks!

I don't believe I have heard of the batch update styles. That is nice, beats each user needing to "Update" the drawing when opened. ....Thanks!

can you update one drawing at a time? do you have to save to the style library or can you transfer from one drawing to another? bypassing the style library?
