Add Folders To the Quick Access Window?

This seems like it should be really easy, but in the "Place Component" Dialog Box, is there any way to add folders for quick access? See screenshot below:

Sure.. Add those links to the "Frequently Used Subfolders" section of your project file..

First close all files then go to File.. Manage..Projects and find your active project then click on the Frequently Used Subfolders" and press the + button to add a new file location..

In your active Inventor Project File, you want to add your folder structure to the Frequency Used SubFolders options.  However this can only be applied to sub-folders that are located under your workspace.  It can not be applied to folders that fall outside of your Inventor workspace.

So you can't add folders that are not on the project search paths? That's somewhat limited... is there any way to do this? For example if I wanted to link to my desktop, I am unable to do that.

Sure there is workaround, you can add any folder to Libraries. But do not store any inventor files inside(its library like content center). I have there stored shortcuts to my projects and it works fine.
Now it works like this: click open, click library SHORTCUTS(my preferred name), double click shortcut to desired folder and here you go.

This is the answer I have been looking for. The situation for me is we save pdfs to a location outside of our workgroup and I am continually navigating there, frustrated because I cannot right click and add a search folder in the save window. With a Vault ipj it cannot be done the planned way. This workaround should be adopted, adapted at least published as I cannot be the only one in this situation. Also, adding shortcuts to the workgroup folder works almost as well. Learned that about the same time as I implemented this workaround.
