adaptivity suddenly not working

Anonymous
Not applicable

hi there

I have been using adaptive features often and they have all worked. They are pretty simple too.

Examples are a door with a handle that moves acording to where the breaker is positioned inside the box.

The issue im having suddenly is that If I try and move the breaker, then the handle doesnt move on the door anymore! its the same as how I do it all the time.

Once the handle is placed on the center point of the projected Geometry, all is good, no errors. I turn off adaptivity so that I can change my position  view representation so i can open the door with no cross reference errors. Usually if I want to change the breaker position then I change it and just turn adaptivity back on so that it updates. But now even if I just move it 20 mm right, it just doesnt update and gives cross reference errors.

Please help

Hi! Based on your description, the behavior does not sound right to me. But, without seeing the model, it is very hard for me to find where the problem is. Please attach it here or send it to me (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com).

Thanks!

Did you roll up the EOP before zipping?

You could also use Autodesk360 for large files drop box.

Find the red End of Part marker in the browser.
(End of Folded on sheet metal parts EOF)
Drag the red EOP to the top of the browser hiding all features.

Save the file with the EOP in a rolled up state.

Right click on the file name and select Send to Compressed (zipped) Folder.

Attach the resulting *.zip file here.

Hi! 10MB attachment is fine for our email system. You can send the zip file directly to me via email (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com).
