Adaptive Work Plane

Having adaptive part is understood. What is the function of the Adaptive Work Plane?

Hi,

Look at the screencast.

I'm making a pipe between two plates. First I make a plane with a offset from the origin and extrude the pipe to this plane. Notice that the plane is not adaptive. Now when I change the position of Plate-02 the pipe does not adjust it's length to this position.

Next I make the same plane but offset it from Plate-02. Inventor makes the plane automatically adaptive which means it listens to Plate-02 although the plane is created in Plate-01. After extruding the pipe to this adaptive plane Inventor will make the part also adaptive. When I change the position of Plate-02 the adaptive plane will inherit the new position and therefore the pipe will adjust it's length.

Hope it's clear, good luck!
