Adaptive custom structural member between two custom content center parts.

I have created a custom structural profile for duct work and custom content center elbows, reducers, tap on taper fittings.  I want the custom structural profile for the duct to be adaptive between fittings constrained to skeletal model.  I want to be able to constrain the duct using the insert constraint so when the skeletal model is changed I don't have to change the length of the duct.  Have it adaptive between the fittings.  Now I have to measure the distance between the fittings and Change Size of the structural profile for the duct.  Is there way to set this up?

can you post a screenshot, if the pipe is adaptive all you have to do is insert on one and face constrain on the other and then you can pull the length between the CC parts with the length of the pipe. (I can make you a screen capture if you need to see how to do it)

The sections in orange need to be adaptive.  I have made an iPart with custom profile lengths ranging from 1" to 240" the authored that to a structural shape.  Will that affect the adaptivity any?  How do I set the custom profile to be adaptive when authoring as a structural member?

They just need to be adaptive for the constraints, give me a few minutes and I video an example

Is there a reason that the orange pieces cannot be authored to Content Center as well, and then just choose "change size" to make each piece longer or shorter?

Hope this helps

I have them as a structural member but I could make them a Content Center part.  I will be authoring a new set of duct work parts for steel soon.  I will make the spool and rect duct as a Content Center part.

Thank you so much.  This helps so much.

I will be trying this soon.

That's exactly how I do it.

No need for Tube&Pipe.

Nice video!
