About adding the function of [midpoint line] in the sketch

As shown in the figure above, when drawing a straight line, first select one point as the midpoint of the straight line, and then select another point as the end point to complete the straight line. You can omit the subsequent midpoint constraint operation, which is similar to the function of [midpoint rectangle]. This can greatly improve the drawing speed and work efficiency, and reduce the emergence of irritability

Can you explain how?  I see nothing in the What's New or in the sketch line tool that suggests that we can sketch a symmetric midpoint line, equivalent to a centered slot or centered rectangle.
