3D Sketches not updating correctly

Hi All

I'm currently drawing some hoses and am using a spline/sweep to generate the hose. I don't want to use the tube and pipe generator for this application. The application here is there's two derived sketches that control the over-all positions, and then in the parts I have some 2D sketches that drive all of the geometry and generate a number of points, and then just use a 3D spline to connect the dots.

I've noticed when I change the parent parts, sometimes the 3D sketch isn't updating. Note all of the 2D geometry updates correctly. So I can see all the points where the 3D spline is supposed to be. When I right click the 3D sketch and click edit, it updates itself to where its supposed to be. The question here is why it's not updating the 3D sketch properly when I hit update model / rebuild all. Note I did have quite a few files open in inventor when this bug occurred. I've restarted the computer and for now the behavior has gone away (3d splines are updating correctly), so I'm just wondering what the root cause of the bug is, and if it's possible to tweak a setting to make it update all 3D sketches correctly?

Kind Regards

Hi Roydon,

The behavior sounds like a geometry specific bug. Please share the files in zip here or send it to me directly johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the 3D Sketch updating behavior better.

Many thanks!
