3D printing from Inventor student edition

Hi,

I need some 3D prototype, but there should not be nothing more. I mean any Autodesk logos like in drawings. Do someone tried to print something from Inventor Student edition?

Thank you

The stl file (for 3D printing) will not have any student logo or other mark.

Make sure when Save Copy As type *.stl that you click on Options and set the Units to same as your part units (if not correct).

You should have no trouble with stl from student license.

At University I used Inventor and other CAD packages to print 3D. The format .stl never had any copyright or any issues.

The only problem I’ve ever found when using student software to print 3D is some software has a limit on how many triangles they will let you export. So if the part is big or really complex it might not let you export it.

I don’t think Inventor student has a limit on .stl file export so you should be okay

Hope This Helps

Inventor student license has exactly the same functionality as commercial license.
