3D Annotate Multi-elements Hole

Hi,

I have a Counterbore hole which I use in a pattern.

When creating the Counterbore hole I assign tolerances to all numbers (3).

I like to 3D Annotate a tolerance which is connected to the counterbore hole as well as the pattern.

Then, when I assign 3D annotation I receive an error, "Model does not contain appropiate Tolerance feature..." (png-file attached).

Using the option "Select Faces" it swops out of the "Multi-elements Hole" and choose another Surface GT&D feature".

I have tried to "Google a solution" with no workable answers.

Does anyone have a tricks regarding this functionality ?

Claus

@DanfysikClaus
I can't reproduce the error in v2027 nor v2026. Can you share your part?

Hi Michiel,

Thanks for the swift reply.

My template/Standard is different from yours (ISO) I think but still it should not matter!

I have attached my file and a figure showing what I'm aiming for

Please delete this file afterwards,

Thanks in advance

Hi Claus,

Multi-Element Hole 3D annotation requires the Reference Feature. The mentioned dialog informs you that the Reference Feature is missing: "Model does not contain appropriate Tolerance Feature that can be designated as a reference feature." Just create a Feature Control Frame or Datum ID on the Top face where the Multi-Element Hole is created, and later, when you are asked to select the Reference Feature, select the Top face where the FCF or Datum ID was created.

Regards,

Martin
