2D SHEET/COAT OF AN OBJECT?

Hello,

I'm using Inventor 2017 for my studies (I study engineering design)

I have a simple part, a roller in diameter of 70mm and 60mm height, cuted at the top at 20 degree angle so I would like to make an engineering drawing of all 3 surfaces in 2D, circle with diameter 70mm from the bottom, the ellipse from the top and a sheet/coat from around the roller. I need the drawing for later to be printed in real dimensions or if not, with dimesions shown on drawing.

Thanks

Yes, exactly that is it 🙂

I can make a drawing but how did you get the coat/sheet? And how do I get the elipse surface?

No Inventor files attached?

What is the thickness of your "coat/sheet"?

If you want an object to unfold or flatten then you need to model that part in the sheet metal environment..

have you used the sheet metal environment before?
