All,
Are any of the other forum members experiencing increased crashes due to welds. I have crashed 4 times in the last half hour trying to edit welds in an assembly. The assembly is not overly complex with simple weldments using plate and structural components created from content center. Our company uses the welds in concert with a laser projection system to show the Operations team members where the parts and welds go in each of our larger assemblies, physically. We make sectional barges and accessories used in marine and bridge construction and maintenance so our components are physically large but not overly complex!
I am hoping Autodesk can get something figured out soon as I am seeing the problem more and more frequently. I am sending in the Crash reports but as you all know I have to keep working on the files so by the time I get a request for the file, it has changed dramatically and so far I have not gotten a viable fix other than "recreate the assembly", which I usually don't have the available time in my deadline to perform as a fix.
Any thoughts on how to keep welds working properly. I don't think I am doing anything overly difficult that the software shouldn't be able to handle!
Thanks for letting me vent!
